We are seeking an eager and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our growing team! In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating closely with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution. Your expertise will drive the financial planning and bidding process for a variety of construction projects, from initial concept through completion. Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope documents on excel, adobe and various softwares.
Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather accurate pricing information and negotiate favorable terms.
Prepare detailed bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, overhead, and profit margins to ensure competitive yet profitable bids.
Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process and adjust estimates as needed to reflect changes in scope or market conditions.
Conduct site visits to assess construction site conditions, verify quantities, and gather on-the-ground insights that influence cost estimates.
Assist in contract negotiations by reviewing terms related to costs, schedules, and scope of work to mitigate risks and ensure clarity for all parties involved. Support project management teams by providing accurate cost control data during construction phases to track expenses against budgets effectively.
Skills
Proficiency in excel and adobe.
Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and contract terms with vendors and subcontractors. Solid understanding of construction site operations. Expertise in cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budget management throughout the project lifecycle. Excellent knowledge of contracts and the overall construction process from inception to completion. Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and present clear, detailed estimates with a positive attitude. Prior hands-on construction site experience is a plus for understanding real-world project challenges. Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
